Eligibility criteria

Practitioners eligible for this program will:​ 

  • Be considered a senior practitioner within their field with significant depth of expertise in one or more domains (eg. specialist skill set, experience, knowledge).​ 
  • Have extensive experience working with international level athletes competing in senior international benchmark events. ​ 
  • Meet the Australian Performance Support Practitioner Minimum Standards ​ 
    • Individuals whose discipline (eg. Sport Engineering, Sports Intelligence & Analytics, Sports Wellbeing & Engagement, Sport Nurses, HP Carers) do not have minimum standards are still encouraged to apply.​ 
  • We acknowledge that time in the system is a poor indicator of competence and applicants will be considered on all criteria. However, as a guide applicants would have more than 5-10 years+ experience in a technical performance support delivery role in the Australian High Performance sports system.​ 

Be engaged by:​ 

  • A National Sporting Organisation that meets the National HP Sports Eligibility Framework or​ 
  • A National Institute Network (NIN) member​ 
  • Be endorsed by their manager
  • Be available for all program dates 

Manager endorsement & involvement  

  • Applicants will need to provide a short statement of support from their manager that can confirm their role, high performance system experience and their ability to support the applicant in applying their learnings throughout the program. 
  • Managers will have the opportunity to connect with program facilitators to help with their individual understanding of the content delivered and how to best support their applicant in applying their new learning in the daily performance environment.
