How you can get involved
Shaping the future of coaching and officiating
Coaches and officials are central to how sport is experienced across Australia. They help create safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments where people feel they belong. Their influence goes beyond teaching skills or applying rules, they are leaders who help shape sport culture, build confidence in others and help people feel welcome and connected.
The ASC has established a dedicated Coaching Advisory Group and Officiating Advisory Group to lead the delivery of two distinct Action Plans, a Coaching Action Plan and an Officiating Action Plan. These groups bring together diverse perspectives from across the sector to guide, influence and challenge the work, ensuring the Action Plans are shaped by real experiences and deliver practical, system-wide outcomes.
But we want to hear from you
Want to get involved?
The consultation period runs from 7 April to mid-June 2026.
Below, you can complete our survey to share your experiences and perspectives, helping us identify broad trends, common challenges and opportunities across coaching and officiating.
Below, you can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in consultation activities that extend beyond survey insights. These may include online focus groups, one-on-one interviews, and observations of coaching and officiating in practice. Together, these insights will help build a more complete understanding of current experiences, challenges, and opportunities across the system.
