Play Well Activity

Ambition Statement

Strengthen Organisational Capacity and Capability

Sporting organisations are regularly assessing organisational capability, have development plans in place, and can demonstrate measurable improvements in governance, participation delivery, workforce capability and participant outcomes.

Sporting organisations have made it easier for volunteers to get involved, have offered the right support with clearer and simpler ways to share the load, and have created more positive volunteer experiences, leading to improved rates of recruitment and retention of volunteers across community sport.

Implement the Coaching Action Plan

Coaches are better supported, more people are entering and remaining in coaching roles, and participants are experiencing higher-quality coaching environments across community sport.

Implement the Officiating Action Plan

Officials are better supported, respected and developed, resulting in improved recruitment, retention and confidence of officials across the sport system.

Develop and Implement Sport Workforce Framework

Sport organisations have adopted leading-practice approaches to workforce planning, recruitment, retention and development. A more capable, diverse and sustainable workforce of employees, coaches, officials and volunteers is helping deliver safe, welcoming and inclusive sporting experiences.

Deliver the Play Well Club Development Program

Community Clubs are actively using Game Plan and the Play Well club program, resulting in stronger governance, more inclusive environments, improved participant experiences and increased club sustainability.
