Volunteer of the year award

The Australian Sports Commission now celebrates an annual Volunteer of the Year award winner as part of the AIS Sport Performance Awards.

As part of the Sport Volunteer Coalition Plan, Volunteer of the Year is now celebrated alongside Australia's best athletes. The inaugural winner, Nicole Williams, from the Brighton Cricket Club in Adelaide, took out the honours ahead of an incredible line up of nominees from across the country.
