With insights from Dr Rochelle Eime (Federation University) and Sunil Menon (Melbourne City FC), this session focuses on what it truly means to be an ally in sport and how coaches, officials, administrators, and participants can actively contribute to positive cultural change.

Webinar: What do boys need from us?

2 March 2026, 6-7pm AEDT

Featuring Ross Wait (Adelaide 36ers) and Ben Williams (experienced Football Umpire), this session explores the critical role coaches and officials play in shaping how boys understand themselves, others, and their place in sport. When boys are supported to develop healthy relationships with masculinity, they are more likely to become respectful teammates, confident leaders, and champions of equity.

This initiative supports community sport, including participants, coaches, officials, parents and organisations, by building understanding of how to better include and support women and girls.

It aims to:

  • Share practical information, resources and support to help coaches and officials create safe, welcoming and fun environments.
  • Work with the community sport sector to ensure actions meet real needs.
  • Highlight the unique experiences of women and girls and help others understand their role in shaping positive environments.
