Make sure your volunteers are supported to do their role by providing training and education opportunities.

What types of training are there?

Providing volunteers with training opportunities in the induction process will help them approach their roles with greater confidence and skill.

Some training options to consider include:

• Coaching accreditation - Check out the Community Coaching Essential skills course
• Governance training - Check out the Directors course
• First aid training
• Responsible serving of alcohol
• Grant writing

TIP: Ensure to budget for any training costs offered to volunteers in the annual budget (e.g coach accreditation)
